Registration

Registration for the race will be on Friday night from approximately 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will begin again Saturday morning from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Registration will be located in the main lodge at Telemark.

Race Start/Finish

The race will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday and end at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, on the dates above. There will be a captain's meeting in the theater at 8:45 a.m. Saturday morning, but all competitors are encouraged to attend. Each competitor will wear a chip for ease and accuracy of timing. This will provide for quick updates and final results.

Rules

Make sure all your teammates know the rules of the race. Please print out a copy of the rules from our Web site and share them with your teammates. The finishing rule is very important and it is your responsibility to know and follow. Please let us know prior to the event if you don't understand.

Teams

Teams looking for skiers, skiers looking for teams or solo skiers looking to switch to teams, please let us know and we will do our best to hook you up with want you need.

Lodging

If you have none, please be sure to contact either Telemark resort (1-877-798-4718) the Cable Area Chamber of Commerce (800-533-7454), or the Valhalla Condos: (715-798-4527).

What to Bring

As we all know, the weather in Northern Wisconsin can be quite unpredictable so bring clothes and supplies for all occasions. There are now washers or dryers available for our use at Telemark, but please bring plenty of clothes to change into and to ski in. We will have local vendors on-site and they will be selling wax and other items, but please bring your own ski forms and wax supplies. Also make sure you bring hand and foot warmers as the weather may get very cold overnight. You may also want to bring a wind cream (i.e. dermatone) for windy conditions and face masks and balaclavas, we will hold the event into low temperatures.

Lighting Systems

There will not be any companies onsite renting lights. Please plan accordingly.

No waxing in rooms

Telemark Resort respectfully requests that there be absolutely NO WAXING IN ROOMS OR CONDOS. Please respect the rules and policies of our host and do not wax in your room. For you convenience there is a new area called "the waxing tunnel" and it's the perfect place for waxing. It will be available for use before and during the event. As a note, ski forms and light are somewhat slim in the tunnel, so you might want to bring these if you have them.

Lockers are available:

For your personal effects security, lockers are available for $5 per person, per day, includes use of locker, towels and access to the pool and Jacuzzi.

Check-out Time

Check out time for all rooms on Sunday, January 13 will be 11:00 am. We have moved the event start up two hours to help accommodate prompt check out times. It is suggested that you check out prior to the awards ceremony. There are locker rooms where you can shower after the race if you check out at 11 am. You will be given more information on this when you register for the race.

Volunteers

We are still looking for volunteers to help cover the many shifts that are required to staff the 24 Hours of Telemark. Shifts usually are about 4 hours and volunteers will be rewarded for their time. Please contact us if you or someone you know will be able to help us. We need volunteers to make the event go off without a hitch and be even more successful than last year!

**We have over 60 volunteer shift sto fill for the event, so please consider volunteering and persuading your friends, families and coworkers to volunteer also. So, please forward this information to anyone you think might be even remotely interested.**

Swag for volunteering

"will work for swag!" Custom Hats will be given to each volunteer! We'll also have food and munchies for volunteers. Remember, kids of a reasonable age can volunteer, too. We need lots of people. I'll try to put you with your friends and family, or in places you want to be.
